This jewelry store is located at the ground floor of a downtown Boston highrise building. A main goal of the tenant fit-up renovations was to provide floor area for an employee break room, bathrooms, and storage space without sacrificing valuable retail floor area. This was done by extending the original mezzanine.

Maiocco Structural Engineering provided the structural design and construction phase services. The design included new floor structure and reinforcement of existing structural steel framing. The building owner required a review of the design by his engineering firm to verify that the overall building's structural integrity was not compromised. The owner's engineer found no problems with the design.
