Anthony D. Maiocco, M. S., P. E., S.E.C.B., C.W.I., has been a construction industry professional since 1979. He has been registered as a professional engineer in Massachusetts since 1989. He is also currently registered in New Hampshire and Rhode Island. He is certified as a qualified structural engineer by the Structural Engineering Certification Board. He has been qualified by the American Welding Society as a Certified Welding Inspector since 2000.
Mr. Maiocco has considerable experience as a consultant in private practice. He has been providing structural engineering services since 1995. The projects have included the structural design of buildings of various uses and all common construction materials. He also has several years of previous structural engineering experience as an employee for various Greater Boston structural engineering firms.
Mr. Maiocco is a 1978 graduate of Princeton University as an architecture major, with studies focused on building technology. He graduated with honors from Northeastern Universityís part-time evening program in 1986 with a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering. He continued with the part-time evening program to earn a master of science degree in civil engineering in 1992.
Staying current with changes in technology, codes and practices is a challenge in the engineering profession. Mr. Maiocco addresses this need through continuing education, membership in professional organizations and by other means. Maiocco Structural Engineering is a member of the Boston Association of Structural Engineers (BASE).
Mr. Maiocco has participated in BASE committee work.
